Val Durance Trail

The trail section of the Foyer Rural de Peyruis, in collaboration with the Club Pénitent en Durance des Mées, is organising the 2nd Val Durance Trail on Sunday 12 April 2026 in Peyruis (04).

This magnificent village of 2,800 inhabitants overlooks the Durance Valley and lies halfway between Manosque and Sisteron, with dozens of kilometres of single-track trails.

We invite you to come and take advantage of this beautiful playground with our three trails: "Pierre Plantée" 10km 400D+, "Tourdeaux" 22km 1000D+ and "Balcons de la Durance" 42km 1800D+, You'll discover our heritage, including the Saint Donnat chapel and the chapel at Augès (22 and 42 km), and on the balcony paths you'll have a view of the Lure mountain, the lower Alpine peaks, the Cousson, the Dourbes ridge, Cheval Blanc and much more, but above all a 360° panorama of the Durance valley with the Les Mées penitents in the background.

A brand new website!

The event is growing and it was time for us to have a website to share information with runners about the course and results from previous years. So we called on a young, very local company, MonTrail (located 20km from Peyruis), to create our website. So you'll have innovative features like a 3d view of the course, a dedicated trail car-sharing area, and your photos and results from previous years directly on the site! Feel free to browse around and let us know what you think.

Launch of the 2025 edition

After a successful first edition, we are pleased to announce that the Val Durance Trail will be held for the second time on Sunday 13 April! We've thought of you by adding a range of race formats to suit everyone, young and old, hardened runners and novice runners alike.

The first edition of the Val Durance Trail was a real success, both in terms of the smooth running of the event and the satisfaction expressed by the runners and walkers at the microphone of our announcer. We'd like to thank all the volunteers and runners for making the first edition a real success, and for laying the foundations for the future.
