The regulations

Make sure you have read the rules before registering.

Article 1: Organisation

The Val Durance Trail is organised by the trail section of the Foyer rural de Peyruis in collaboration with the Club d'athlétisme Pénitents Endurance des Mées.

Article 2: Date / Time / Place

The Val Durance Trail will take place on Sunday 12 April 2026.

The start and finish will take place on the Place Fauchier 04310 Peyruis.

Start times :

  • 07:30am 42km course

  • 09.15am 22km course

  • 10.30am 10km course followed by the 10km Rando

  • 09:30 5km for 14-15 year-olds

  • 09.40am 3km juniors aged 12 to 13

  • 10.40am 1.5km for juniors aged 10 to 11

  • 10.50 am: endurance for children aged 7 to 9 (8-minute race)

Article 3: Course

The Val Durance trail comprises 7 loop courses.

All courses comply with the off-stage running regulations and are timed by KMS.

Adult course:

  • Les balcons de la Durance" 42 kilometres / 1800 D+ "Tourdeaux

  • "Tourdeaux" 22 kilometres / 1000 D+.

  • "Pierre plantée" 10 kilometres / 400 D+.

*The 22 kms and 42 kms are part of the ligue région sud challenge.

The 22 kms and 24 kms are UTMB indexed.

The results will be sent to Itra for your indexes.

- The "Pierre plantée" hike (10 kms): non-timed.

Some of the routes will use single-track mountain bike and hiking trails and some sections are private so passage will only be authorised on the day of the event.

Children's races :

  • "Tour des fontaines" Éveil Athlétique (10mn)

  • "Tour des jardins" 1.5 km for juniors

  • "La petite source" 2.5km 100m D+ for benjamins

  • "La grande source" 3.5km 150m D+ Minimes

The benjamins and minimes races are timed.

Article 4: Pre-race briefing

A final briefing will be given by the race director 10 minutes before the start to remind participants of the safety instructions.

Article 5: Registration

Registration is limited to 500 numbers for all races combined.

The events are open to anyone with or without an FFA licence.

Non-licensed runners must download a medical certificate from the K.M.S. website on the day of registration, or present it on the day they collect their numbers. This medical certificate must state that there are no contraindications to running or trail running in competition and must be less than one year old on the day of the race. We will also accept the Health Prevention Course (PPS) valid for 3 months from the date of completion, which you must provide on the KMS website or on the day you collect your number with the PPS number. For minors, parental authorisation will be required at registration.

The events are open to: cadets for the 10 kms, juniors for the 22 kms and hopefuls for the 42 kms.

Entry fees (excluding administration costs and secure payment, approx. 1 euro)

  • 15 euros for the 10 kms: T-shirt, finish meal and beer included

  • 27 euros for the 22 kms: T-shirt, finish meal and beer included

  • 47 euros for the 42 kms: t-shirt, meal at the end of the race and beer included

  • 12 euros for the 10 kms hike: neck band, meal and beer included

  • 2 for the 3-kilometre race: finish snack, medal and cap included

  • 4 for the 5 kms: finish snack, medal and cap included

  • Free for the Early Years and Chicks races

  • For all team registrations, the 10th number is free (the name of the team must be given when registering).

Prices valid until midnight on 22 March 2026, after which date prices will be :

  • 50 euros for the 42 kms,

  • 30 euros for the 22 kms,

  • 18 euros for the 10 kms and

  • 15 euros for the 10 km hike.

  • There will be no increase for children's races.

Entries can be made online at www.kms.fr or on the day of the race (30 minutes before the start), subject to availability of race numbers.

Price of accompanying meal €10, beer €3.

Article 6: Compulsory equipment

For the 42 kms: water bottle or water bag of at least one litre per competitor

For the 22 kms: water bottle or water bag of at least one litre per competitor

For the 10 kms: water bottle or water bag of at least half a litre per competitor

Whistles, survival blanket, mobile phone with charged battery for all, clothing and footwear suitable for trail running.

Poles are permitted on all three routes.

Article 7: Environment

You must respect the environment, private land, the forest, the highway code and other competitors.

The race takes place in a protected area and in an ecologically responsible manner. It is forbidden to pollute the environment by throwing away food packaging, paper, bottles, sanitary masks or any other polluting object, on pain of immediate disqualification. Refreshment posts are equipped with bin bags.

Article 8: Withdrawal of race number

Saturday 11 April 2026 :

Sunday 12 April 2026 :

On presentation of an identity document.

The race number is compulsory and must be visible and firmly attached to the competitor. In the event of withdrawal, the competitor must immediately inform the organisers by telephone on the number indicated on the number and must return it to the nearest refreshment post.

In the event of a delay at one of the time barriers, the number must also be returned to the person in charge of the time barrier.

All entries are personal. No transfer of entry is permitted for any reason whatsoever. Any person transferring their number to a third party will be held responsible in the event of an accident occurring or caused by the third party during the races.

Any person holding a race number acquired in breach of these regulations may be disqualified. The organisers decline all responsibility in the event of an accident of this type.

Article 9: Insurance

The organisation will be covered by a civil liability insurance policy taken out with APAC for the duration of the event. Licence holders are covered by the insurance linked to their sports licence. It is the responsibility of other participants to take out their own insurance. The organisers cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for any accident or failure on the part of participants, particularly those resulting from poor health or inadequate preparation. Competitors take part at their own risk and waive any right of recourse against the organisers in the event of damage or after-effects following the race.

Article 10: Runner's charter

All competitors are obliged to provide assistance to any person in danger until the emergency services have taken over.

All competitors undertake to respect the fauna and flora, not to throw anything on the ground, not to cut the paths and to stay on the route laid down by the organisers, failing which they will be disqualified.

Article 11: Safety

The safety and medical assistance of participants is the responsibility of the organisers, who will set up a Previsional Rescue Service (DPS). Safety will be ensured by marshals on the roads, tracks and forest paths, and a team of first-aiders with the necessary logistical resources. The emergency services (SDIS) will be informed of the event and will be ready to intervene.

Article 12: Cancellation / Modification of event or route

The organiser reserves the right to cancel the event either at the request of the administrative authorities or in the event of force majeure. No compensation will be paid in this respect. Participants will not be reimbursed for their entry fees and may not claim any other compensation in this respect.

In the event of force majeure (bad weather, etc.) and for safety reasons, the organisers reserve the right to modify the route or cancel the event. In the event of cancellation, the organisers will not refund entries but may postpone the event to a later date or to a future edition.

Article 13: Rewards

For the three timed races, prizes will be awarded to the first three men and women overall and the first men and women in each category.

For the benjamin and minime races, the first three boys and girls overall.

Awards cannot be accumulated.

Article 14: Sanitary facilities - Parking

The stadium showers will be available to the runners.

Car and camper van parking is available.

Article 15 : Image rights

By entering the race, each runner expressly authorises the organisers to use any still or audiovisual images in which he may appear, taken during his participation in the events, on any media including promotional and/or advertising documents.

Participation in the race implies unconditional acceptance of these regulations.
