The Val Durance Trail is organised by the trail section of the Foyer rural de Peyruis in collaboration with the Club d'athlétisme Pénitents Endurance des Mées.
The Val Durance Trail will take place on Sunday 13 April 2025.
The start and finish will take place on the Place Fauchier 04310 Peyruis.
Start times :
08h00 for the 35 kms
09h00 for the 22 kms
10.00 am for the 10 kms followed by the 10 kms Rando
10.05am for the early-learning endurance race for 7 to 9 year-olds (8-minute race)
10.15am for the 1.5km race for 10 to 11 year old juniors
10.25am 5km race for 14 to 15 year-old minimes
10.30am - 3km race for juniors (12-13 years)
The Val Durance trail has three loop courses:
Adult races:
Les balcons de la Durance" 35 kilometres and 1500 D+ "Tourdeaux
"Tourdeaux" 22 kilometres and 1000 D+.
"Pierre plantée" 10 kilometres and 400 D+.
These three courses comply with the off-stage race regulations and are timed by KMS.
Time barriers
For the 35 kms: at km 10 and 480 D+ before 10.00 am (2.00 am race), at km 19.7 and 850 D+ before 12.15 pm (4.15 am race) and finish before 4.00 pm (8.00 am race).
For the 22 kms: at km 12 and 600 D+ before 11:15 am (02:15 am race) and finish before 2:15 pm (05:15 am race).
There is no time limit for the 10 kms.
The 10 km hike is not timed.
Some of the routes will be on single-track mountain bike and hiking trails, and some sections will be private, so passage will only be authorised on the day of the event.

The children's races are not timed.
Limited to 500 numbers for all races combined.
The races are open to anyone with or without an FFA licence.
Non-licensed runners must download a medical certificate from the K.M.S. website on the day of registration, or present it on the day they collect their numbers. This medical certificate must state that there are no contraindications to running or trail running in competition and must be less than one year old on the day of the race. We will also accept the Health Prevention Course(PPS) valid for 3 months from the date of completion, which you must provide on the KMS website or on the day you collect your number with the PPS number. For minors, parental authorisation will be required at registration.
The events are open to participants in the cadet category for the 10-kilometre race, the junior category for the 22-kilometre race and the espoir category for the 35-kilometre race.

Prices valid until midnight on 23 March 2025. After this date, prices will be 43 euros for the 35 kms, 30 euros for the 22 kms, 18 euros for the 10 kms and 15 euros for the 10 kms hike.
Entries can be made online at www.KMS.fr or on the day of the race (30 minutes before the start), subject to availability of race numbers.
Meal price for accompanying persons €9, beer price €3.
For the 35 kms: water bottle or water bag of at least one litre per competitor
For the 22 kms: water bottle or water bag of at least one litre per competitor
For the 10 kms: water bottle or water bag of at least half a litre per competitor
Whistles, survival blanket, mobile phone with charged battery for all, clothing and footwear suitable for trail running.
Poles are permitted on all three routes.
Refreshment points (solid and liquid) will be provided on all three routes: at km 10, 19.7 and 28.7 for the 35 kms; at km 8.5, 12 (liquid refreshment point) and 14 for the 22 kms and at km 4.8 for the 10 kms.
Competitors must respect the environment, private property, the forest, the highway code and other competitors.
The race takes place in a protected area and in an ecologically responsible manner. It is forbidden to pollute the environment by throwing away food packaging, paper, bottles, sanitary masks or any other polluting object, on pain of immediate disqualification. Refreshment stations are equipped with bin bags.
Number collection at Place Joseph Fauchier 04310 Peyruis (in the event of rain, numbers will be handed over at the Peyruis village hall):

On presentation of proof of identity.
The race number is compulsory and must be visible and firmly attached to the competitor. In the event of withdrawal, the competitor must immediately inform the organisers by telephone on the number indicated on the number and must return it.
Race numbers will also be returned to the person in charge of the time barrier in the event of a delay.
All entries are personal. No transfer of registration is authorised for any reason whatsoever.
Any person transferring their number to a third party will be held responsible in the event of an accident occurring or caused by the third party during the races.
Any person holding a race number acquired in breach of these regulations may be disqualified. The organisers decline all responsibility in the event of an accident of this type.
The organisation will be covered by a civil liability insurance policy taken out with APAC for the duration of the event. Licence holders are covered by the insurance linked to their sports licence. It is the responsibility of other participants to take out their own insurance. The organisers cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for any accident or failure on the part of participants, particularly those resulting from poor health or inadequate preparation. Competitors take part at their own risk and waive any right of recourse against the organisers in the event of damage or after-effects following the race.
All competitors are obliged to provide assistance to any person in danger, until the emergency services have taken over.
All competitors undertake to respect the fauna and flora, not to throw anything on the ground, not to cut the paths and to stay on the route laid down by the organisers, failing which they will be disqualified.
The safety and medical assistance of participants is the responsibility of the organisers, who will set up a Previsional Rescue Service (DPS). Safety will be ensured by marshals on the roads, a team of first-aiders and the necessary logistical resources. The emergency services (SDIS) will be notified of the event.
The organiser reserves the right to cancel the event either at the request of the administrative authorities or in the event of force majeure. No compensation will be paid in this respect. Participants will not be reimbursed for their entry fees and may not claim any other compensation in this respect.
In the event of force majeure (bad weather, etc.) and for safety reasons, the organisers reserve the right to modify the route or cancel the event. In the event of cancellation, the organisers will not refund entries but may postpone the event to a later date.
For the three timed races, prizes will be awarded to the first three men and women overall and the first men and women in each category.
Awards may not be accumulated.
By entering the race, each runner expressly authorises the organisers to use any still or audiovisual images in which he or she may appear, taken during his or her participation in the races, on any media including promotional and/or advertising documents.
